SUMMARY:

The incorporation of sustainability into public policies becomes essential to balance economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental preservation. In this context, the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are consolidated as global benchmarks to guide government planning, including the tourism sector. In Brazil, the National Tourism Plan (PNT) 2024–2027 is the main planning instrument for the sector, incorporating guidelines focused on sustainable development and alignment with the SDGs in its discourse. The overall objective of this research is to analyze the degree of alignment between the National Tourism Plan (PNT) 2024–2027 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), considering the governance mechanisms that condition its operationalization in public tourism policies. The methodology adopted is qualitative, exploratory, and analytical in nature, based on bibliographic and documentary research. A systematic literature review was conducted according to the PRISMA 2020 protocol, using searches in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, with descriptors related to tourism, public policies, governance, and SDGs. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 32 articles were selected for analysis. The data will be examined through thematic content analysis, structured in the stages of pre-analysis, exploration, and interpretation. Additionally, a document analysis of the National Tourism Plan (2024–2027) will be carried out, allowing for triangulation of findings and evaluation of the degree of alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
