SUMMARY:

The contemporary job market is undergoing several reconfigurations, mainly regarding aspects related to organizational sustainability and accelerated digitalization. In this context, dual transition, digital and green, presents challenges for organizations in terms of training professionals graduating from technical and higher education administration courses. This requires an alignment between what is taught by higher education institutions and what the job market is demanding. Although the competencies of the administrator have been the subject of study and have had their assumptions defined for many years by seminal authors in the field, the current context demands new frameworks. It is in this direction that this master's research is situated. The dissertation aims to investigate the existence of skills gaps and skills mismatches in the training of Administration professionals and the competency trends for the current and future job market, focusing especially on the context of the twin transition. The methodology adopted is mixed, therefore, qualitative and quantitative, of an exploratory and analytical nature. The overall research design encompasses complementary methods. First, a systematic literature review was conducted according to the PRISMA 2020 protocol, based on searches in the Scopus database, using descriptors related to training, higher education, administration, upskilling, and reskilling. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 168 articles were selected for analysis. The data will be examined through content analysis, structured in the stages of pre-analysis, exploration, and interpretation. This analysis allowed us to extract the state of the art in terms of managerial competencies. The second technique will be a thematic content analysis of interviews with business owners (employers) and professors of administration courses, in order to obtain new competencies for managers. Finally, a survey will be applied to administration students, and the data will be verified through decision matrices and analysis using the following techniques: Importance-Performance Analysis, Penalty-Reward Contrast Analysis, and Impact Analysis. This set of techniques will allow us to answer the general and specific objectives of this master's dissertation, generating empirical, theoretical, and teaching implications. Data collection will be conducted with business administration courses in Campina Grande, PB.
