PUBLIC ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE CITY OF SÃO JOÃO DO CARIRI/PB IN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT
Entrepreneurship. Public Sector. Development. 2030 Agenda.
This research is situated within two major areas of study: Public Entrepreneurship (PE) and Sustainable Local Development (SLD). Both expressions are relatively new research topics. However, studying these two macro-dimensions in the Brazilian semi-arid region, specifically in São João do Cariri – PB, represents a significant effort in theoretical and practical terms. Based on this context, this study aims to analyze the factors that may contribute to public entrepreneurship in the city of São João do Cariri/PB within the context of sustainable local development. Methodologically, it will be exploratory, descriptive, and field research. Data collection will occur through documentary and primary data from semi-structured interviews with social actors important for understanding the phenomenon under study. Data treatment will be qualitative. This research aims to shed light on strategic decision-making and the achievement of the goals of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda by municipal public authorities. Theoretically, it intends to structure categories, sub-categories of analysis, and criteria for analyzing the data to be collected, filling theoretical gaps based on the interconnections of Public Entrepreneurship (PE) and Developmental Leadership Studies (DLS).
