Researcher at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) in Feira de Santana in the Production Engineering course, now working at UFCG through technical collaboration. Senior member of the IEEE and participant in the professional master's program at UFBA. Has 12 years of experience in the metallurgical industry. Expertise developed in the areas of quality, Lean Thinking, audits and certifications, as well as digital twin with 4.0 technologies. During master's degree, worked on the implementation of ISO standards in the public service, notably the accreditation of the Northeast Biomaterials Laboratory CERTBIO under the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, and in doctorate worked on the development of materials for application as biomaterials. Coordinates the Lean Healthcare and Digital Twin research projects, and has partnerships with the Research, Technological Development and Innovation Center - Ilhéus, Itaipu Parquetec and Incite Industry 4.0. More than 180 publications, including 42 scientific articles, 30 book chapters and 110 conference papers. In addition to having edited 6 books and holding 16 registrations with the INPI (Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property), has served on international IEEE committees in Region 9, such as the Education Committee (2020-2021) and the Industry Committee (2024-2025). Currently part of the WIE Northeast Section affinity group. She is a recipient of the 2021 IEEE Undergraduate Teaching Award, the 2021 and 2022 IEEE WIE Honorable Mention Inspiring Member of the Year Award, and the 2021 Outstanding Branch Counselor Branch Chapter Advisor Award.
